NOTED ENGLISH STALLION IS DEAD. The well-known stallion, Rerrill, has been destroyed at the Burton Agnes Stud, Yorks. He was twenty years old. having been foaled in 1S90, anil wis by Rouge Dragon brother to Martagon. out of Creve Coeur. by Xecromancer. out of Gyneth. Bred by Mr. T. Boylon. he was the property during his racing career of Mr. J. Sulftvan, for whom he did good serviee. and his name is among the winners of the Cambridgeshire. As a two -year-old he started on five occasions, winning a Xursery and being placed third once. At three years he ran seven times and won four races. At four he won two Queens Plates, the Pegasus Cup and the Cambridgeshire, in the latter event beating Codo-man. Sirenia. Chevening. La Roche, Little Eva, First Principal and several others, and netting a large stake for his owner. In 1909 Air. Sullivan sold Rerrill to Capt. T. AAickham-Boyiiton and Mr. II. Cholniondeley, "and lie proved a most successful horse for them. In addition to getting a number of thoroughbred mares he won the Champion Gold Cup at Islington in 1311 for the best hunter stallion in the show, and as late as this year, when twenty years old. he won a Kings Premium in the Yorkshire class. He was the sire of many good horses, among them Capitulation, Berrilldon the Lincolnshire Handicap winner in 1913. Crown Jewel. Protiva, The Merry AVidow, Chrysoberyl, Bran-dimmtiue. Gay Bachelor, Annie Berrill, Brand and many others. He was also the sire of Rathnrde winner of the Baldoyle Derby, etc., and of Dun-holm, which accounted for fifteen races. His stock won over 50,000 pounds in stakes. London Sportsman.
