KINGS PLATE ENTRIES AT MONTREAL. Montreal, Que., Aug. 24. Nominations for the stakes to be run during the autumn meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club opening at Blue Bonnets on Labor Day, September 4, are well up to the average and some excellent material has been named to go in these fixed events. As usual keen interest is being evinced locally in tho outcome of the Kings Plate which will be the feature of the opeing days program. Eleven entries have been received for the race and while some of them have as yet not shown any public form, reports of fast trials are rife and something of a surprise may ba in store for those that have been racing sucessfully. The nominations are as follows: D. Browns Phil McCool; Kenneth T. Dawes, Billy Frew; L. B. Davis Thomas the Rhymer; Dorchester Stables Silk Bird; J. AV. Fosters Dix Rogers; 0. A. Lavigues Cerf Volant; N. Macfar-lanes Lady Spendthrift; D. Raymonds Reddest; Redbank Stables Golden Aixen; Octave Viaus All Steel and William AVrays Sacal.
