HORSES FLOCKING INTO LEXINGTON. Lexington, Ky., August 20. In preparation for the Kentucky Associations fall meeting, about 800 horses Mere galloped over the local course this morning. Tin; fastest moves were those of Htiuovia and Dark Flower. They worked three-quarters in 1:14. James P. Ross two-year-old AVaterford, in AV. J. Youngs string, worked five-eighths in l:02h. while Tandy Hughes Buckner galloped a half mile in 50. John Miller has arrived from Saratoga with sixteen horses, among them six of T. C. McDowells, including Aotnry. The remainder of McDowells stable will come in one car. leaving Monday. Three in the Miller car wen; the property of August Belmont, to be turned out at Nurserv Stud. Thev are Ton Hatch, St. Rock and Mill Maid. J. AA. May sent Cosmic back. He found he would not stand training. He was turned out again at Beaumont Farm. Phil T. China sent down three of his Englishmen to lie turned out tit AValter Paynes farm. Two yearlings, one purchased by J. C. Milam and the other by A. L. Aste, were in the car. Astes yearling went to John S. Barbees farm. The Mid-dleton stables sent down a jumping mare to be turned out at Arch Hamiltons farm. James II. Baker is here from Windsor with Irish Gentleman. Galaway and Sauterelle. Jockeys Tea-ban. Sloan and Williams arrived from Windsor. J. C. Culm also came Jn from AAindsor. A. J. Gorey. of Covington, litis decided to quit breeding thoroughbred horses and has consigned Transvaal, four mares and four weanlings to the Kentucky Sales Company for its winter sale.
