TVO - YEAR - OLD RULE MADE CLEAR. New York, September 12. Owing to a misunderstanding of the two-year-old racing rule adopted 1 by the Jockey Club last winter, there are some horsemen of the opinion that the rt.ciug of a two-year-old before April 1 would disqualify him from racing over any track under the jurisdiction or the Jockey Club for all time. James W. Coffroth, the ruling spirit of the Tijuana race meeting, asked to lie set right on the rule, and Algernon Daingerfield, assistant secretary of the Jockey Club, explained that, the rule merely disqualified two-year-olds that raced before April 1 from racing until the following IVcember 31. As a matter of fact, the rule is -plain enough, and it really only operates on tracks -where the Jockey Club has no jurisdiction, for there is no racing within the territory of the central governing body before April 1. Of course, such two-year-olds as are started at one or other of -the winter tracks would be barred from starting about New York for that particular season, but the prohibition would end with the season.
