ESSEX PARK MEETING ABANDONED. Hot Springs, Ark., September 12. The Business Mens League of this city, through its board of governors, last night made the announcement that the full meeting that had been scheduled at Essex Park would not be held. The action was taken because of conditions which made it inopportune to open racing here next fall. The board announced that the action was not prejudicial to the interests of Essex Park, and was acquiesced in by Samuel J. Davis, who is local manager of the Essex , property.
