READY FOR ACTION AT DORVAL PARK. Montreal. Que.. Sept. 12. The fall meeting of the Dorval Jockey Club, -which is scheduled to begin tomorrow, promises to be a most successful one. The Dorval Club has been reorganized since last spring and Captain AA. F. PresgraVe is now in charge of the management. Many improvements have been made to the plant and the track proper has been placed in first class condition. There were a number of arrivals this morning from AAind-sor, which in a measure counterbalanced the wholesale departures for Maryland last night. A splendid program has been provided for the opening day. The feature races are the Inaugural Handicap, a dash of one mile and seventy yards and an allowance race at three-quarters, in which some of the best sprinters racing here are named to start. There were thirty-one entries for the fifth race, which necessitated the placing of nineteen on the also eligible list. Four of the races are at one mile or over. The club is catering to a higher grade of horses this fall, which means that, there should be a corresponding improvement in the sport. At former meetings the half-mile circuit horses predominated; Not so this time. The staff of o!!ieials will be practically the same as at Blue Bonnets, except that Francis Nelson will succeed Frank .T. Bryan as presiding steward, while Herman P. Conkling will take judge Nelsons place in the judges stand. Francis J. Pons, AY. C. AVeant, George Phillips, H. Neusteter and the Hennossy Bros, arrived from Windsor with their stables. Jockey .L. Lykes accompanied the Neusteter stable. The plant at Dorval has received a thorough overhauling during the past two months and presents nn entirely different appearance. The track proper will be resoiled this fall and the steeplechase course placed in firsf-cki3s condition. The ring at the Kempton Park meeting, which follows that at Dorval. will be in charge of Messrs. Bryn it and Ollara, an arrangement, having been perfected this afternoon, which gives them the management of that department of the track.
