OPPOSED TO CONFLICTING RACING. Xew Orleans, La., September 10. The New Orleans council today went on record as being opposed 1 to tin? simultaneous operation of two race tracks hero, endorsing the stand of Mayor Martin Behrman i that he will not allow two tracks to operate at the . same time. The council will exercise its police power to enforce the position the mayor has taken. . The council also adopted a resolution as being opposed - to extending racing into Lent. The Business Mens Racing Associations directors - and those connected with it, will not discuss s the matter now. Important developments are expected - within the next few days.
