The latter began in a tangle and suffered from interference in the first half, but finished fast when clear. MAlIX was forced back sharply on the lower turn and came with a rush in the stretch. PEACIIIE ran well, but tired slightly near the end. SIGNORETTE quit after racing into the lead. The winner, entered for 700, was bid up to 1,205 ami bought in. Overweights Peachie, 3 pounds. The latter showed a good order of speed and set the pace gamely, but tired near the end. SUN COD ran well to the stretch and dropped back. CAPT. REES ran well for three-quarters.
