CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. In the Trial Steeplechase at Belmont Terminal Wednesday. Ormes Head, Bryn Chant and The Brook finished first second and third, but all three were disqualified for running the wrong course anil Socony took the race with Brooks second and Bet third. The present star of English three-year-olds racing, Hurry On, is a chestnut colt by Marcovil Tout Suite. He was not raced when a two-year-old and is undefeated this year, having won in succession the Beacon Maiden Plate at Lingfield. Stetchworth Plate at Newmarket, Newberry Stakes -it Newbury and, September Stakes at Newmarket. His only further engagement this year is in the Newmarket St. Legcr, which is to be run October 1.
