RAIN AND MUD AT HAVRE DE GRACE. Kilmer Scores in the Feature Race King Worth Successful Under a Heavy Impost. Baltimore, Md., September 2.. A terrific rainstorm, which prevailed all morning, rendered the . track at Havre de Grace a veritable quagmire for . this afternoons racing and tin? mud runners had I an inning. The publicly installed favorites were . victorious in the lirst four races. A fair crowd j braved the elements to witness the decision of a j;ood card. Kilmer accounted for the feature race at one mile and seventy yards from Sandmark and Air Man. He made all the pace and drew away under urging in the final eighth to win casing up. Sandmnik, which was in closest pursuit of the winner all the way, made u game challenge at the eighth post, but could not get up. Air Man -was always outpaced. King Worth carrying 127 pounds was a winner over mediocre opposition. He was pressed from the start by Piipiette and Feminist anil seemed to dispose of his challengers when turning into the stretch, but had to be ridden out to withstand Piquetto, which came again in the last sixteenth. I. A. OMeara was among the arrivals today. S. H. Victor Manor., sporting editor of "El Mun-do," of Havana, Cuba, was a visitor today. Eddie T. was advanced to SI, 000, which was .00 over his entered price, after he won the second race. He was protected by his owner. S. Louis -was the bidder. P. T. China shipped Torchbenrer and Maifou, -which he acquired recently at a sale, to Lexington. Maifou will be retired as a broodmare. James Rowo arrived from the Rrookdale Farm in New Jersey and will remain until tomorrow to saddle Bonnie Witch in the Eastern Shore Handicap.
