FIRST BALLOT showed the most early speed and set a fast pace, but tired when the winner challenged. SEA WAVE closed a gap in the last quarter and finished fast. BEAVEIJKILL ran well. The latter went to bis knees when landing at several of the fences. SUSAN B. lost her rider at the eleventh jump and broke down on the flat. OTTO FLOTO fell at the eighth.
