TWO WINNERS FOR JOYNER SENDS SEA WAVE AND CHICLET TO THE POST AND WINS WITH BOTH. Courtship Wins a Good Race and Defeats Bonnie Witcli Easily Dervish First and Is Bid Up Gossip of tho Course. Baltimore, Md., October 27. AndreAV Jackson Joyner saddled tAvo of the Avinners at Laurel this afternoon Avhen he sent the Oak Ridge Stables Sea Wave to the post in the opener, and L. Woods Chiclet to the. barrier in the fifth race. Botli horses Avere ridden by jockey Keogli and both Avon Avith ease. Chiclet picked up 114 pounds in his race and ran the mile in 1:38. Andrew Millers Mother Machree made a run-avray affair of the second race and paid the handsome dividend of 3.50 to . There Avas still another two-year-old race on the program and it Avas Avon by the Kentucky Stables Courtship, Avhich came from behind from a slow beginning and Avon going uAvay. First Ballot beat the others aAvay from the barrier, but Avhile going down the backstreteh the odds-on favorite, Bonnie Witch. Avent to the front and raced into a six lengths lead on the far turn. Courtship finished Avitli splendid gameness, Avhile Bonnie AVitch quit, and at the finish Courtship aaoh going away by a length and a half. Columbine beat the tiring Bonnie Witch four lengths for second place. Willis S. Kilmer, during the afternoon, closed a deal with Harry Rites for the latter to manage his stock farm at Binghamton, N. Y. Rites Avill leave here December 1 to assume his new duties. Henry McDaniel will continue as trainer for the establishment. Dervish, Avinner of tho sixth race, AAas advanced from 1916.sh00 to ,205 and bought in. W. P. Spurgeon has purchased from the Kentucky Stable the Avell-bred imported filly Melting Moments. Siie is by Lemberg Love Chase and is destined for a broodmare. Willis S. Kilmer, Avho has several horses racing at Laurel in charge of Henry McDaniel, Avas an arrival from Binghamton. N. The plans AAere to ship them to Charleston, but this arrangement has been changed and it is possible that tht-y will remain at Belmont Park during the Avinter.
