SOLDIERS GUARD JUAREZ RACE TRACK. Followers of racing generally throughout the country have wondered whether the alleged anJ tipathy of many Mexicans to citizens of the United States Avould make it unpleasant for visitors to the Juarez racing. Reports from El Paso put quite a contrary coloring to the conditions that preA-ail. They state that e-ery guarantee has been extended to the patrons of the Juarez course this Avinter by the Cnrransa commanders of the over-river city. An escort of soldiers arc at the track each day to preserA-e order and there has not been the slightest indication of any trouble. The Mexican officials haA-e been courteous and accommodating to the turf patrons as well as to Col. M. J. Winn and the other officials of the plant. As a consequence the attendance lias been far above Avhnt Colonel Winn had expected. And, as the meeting is progressing, there is a marked increase both iu the Sunday and week-day attendance.
