4, a HALF A DOZEN PROMISING YOUNGSTERS IN THE 0NECK STABLE, WITH TRAGEDY THE LEADER I : 1 The feats of the youngsters in the Oneek Stable during the season now drawing to a close wore sufficient to warrant the belief that another year may find Mr. Knapp in as conspicuous u position among the leading winners on the turf as lie occluded more than a decade ago. He has no less than a half dozen two-year-olds of more than ordinary promise, and it would be unfortunate if at least a couple of them did not develop into stake winners at three years of age. All but one of them won races in 191G and The Knocker, the one that failed, appeared more promising, in reality, than some of those which gained brackets, as lie was close up at the finish to some of the lK-st youngsters of the year. Tragedy, the bay filly by McGee Josie L., was the largest money winner of the year, winning two stakes and being placed in four others. Her races toward the end of the year indicated staying powers. Reprobate, a chestnut colt by The Commoner, won one more race than Tragedy, but they were not so valuable nor against such capable racers, and the lone victories of Artemis. Sandal and Spectre wore each achieved in a selling race. The five-year-old Frizzle, by Biiiiou Frizette, with a couple of handicap victories to his credit, added to some place moneys, ranked second in the years earnings for the Oneck Stable. Its record for 1911, after having Avon ,715 in 1915, is as follows: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won.
