TIJUANA SELLING STAKES TODAY. Scarlet Oaks the Probable Favorite Dorothy Dean Winner of the Handicap Yesterday. Tijuana, Mex., December 15. Dorothy Dean had little trouble winning the Quarry Siding Handicap here today. The mare soon forged to the front, showed the most speed and made every post a winning one. Star Shooter was second and Star of Love third. Star of Love was a bit sore when going to the post and this might account for his poor showing. The first stake race ever run at Tijuana is down for decision tomorrow, when a good field will go to the post in the Tijuana Selling Stakes, the fourth on the card. G. W. Wingfields trainer has claimed the apprentice allowance on Scarlet Oaks, and she will urobably go to the post fuvorite. The negro rider Casey, will ride Scarlet Oaks, and this situation hns caused no little discussion. It is said that because of this, jockey OBrien has resigned his job and, as a result, did not ride the Wingfield horses t0Jockey Ormes has been fined 5 for his rough riding In the first race of Wednesday.
