MANY YEARLINGS AT NEW ORLEANS. Over One Hundred Available fcr Two-Ycar-Old Races with More to Come. New Orleans, La., December 15. The tail-end of a "norther" struck this city early this morning, with the result that work at the Fair Grounds track was almost out of the question and there were only a few horses to be seen on the track, most of which simply jogged. There was a biting wind blowing, but towards noon it warmed up considerably and the track began to dry out. Because of the adverse weather and track conditions, the schooling of the coming two-year-olds was postponed for the day. Judge Joseph A. Murphy left on a brief hunting trip today and he expects to be gone until Monday. Racing Secretary Joseph McLennan is looking after all details in his absence. There were more arrivals today from the north and east. Two Kentucky shipments got in, those of R. L. Baker and William Woodward. Baker had a carload, there being several iu his string belonging to other owners, who have horses already stibled here. Woodward had four, two of which belong to J. W. McClelland. Moses Cossman, agent for E. R. Bradley, arrived last night. He has been resting at Cincinnati since the Latonia meeting closed. The compiling of the list of coming two-year-olds, quartered at the Fair Grounds to date, was finished today and it showed that there are one hundred and two of the juvenile racers here. This list will be increased as there are several more stables not here as yet, which have yearlings in preparation for the races. .1 i , , , : ,
