ROOSTER made up ground steadily and finished fast and gamely. ANCESTORS raced forwardly and outstayed FRED T. for third place. The latter set a good pace to the last eighth and tired, but held on resolutely. MAUDIE finished fast. MUY BUENA quit. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Overweights Maudic, 1 pound. SCARLET OAKS set the early pace and was taken back anil saved to the stretch, then took the lead again when BERTHA AVEAAER tired and outstayed KOOTENAY in a game finish. KOOTENAY ran a good race and finished wearing the winner down. OLD BROOM closed a big gap and finished with a rush. BERTHA AVEAAER set a great pace in the middle running, but quit badly.
