RACING AT OMENTAL PARK CLOSE FINISHES IN MOST OF THE CONTESTS PLEASE A BIG CROWD. Maxims Choice Takes the Feature of the Day School Boy Wins and Is Eid Up Seven Races for Today. Havana, Cuba, December 21. With every element conducing to good racing a great crowd assembled at Oriental Park this afternoon and was rewarded with spirited contests, up to the best local standard. The opening dash fell to the Butler cast-off Tinkle Bell, whicli disposed of Hamerkop after a well contested stretch struggle. The second was taken hv Casco in another driving finish in which she onlv defeated the veteran Parlor Boy bv a head. School Boy made .a runaway affair of the third and was bid up 05 over his entered price, but was bought in by his Cuban owner. The feature race of the day, the fiftli was reduced by scratching to three starters and was easily won by Maxims Choice, Soldier making a sorrv showing and finishing last. For tomorrow a Christmas Day card of seven races h:;s been provided and a record-breaking attendance is anticipated.
