SOME HEAVY TRACK RACING AT TIJUANA. Downpour of Rain Favors Horses Partial to Soft Going Scratches Riddle the card. Tijuana, Mcx., Dec. 24. A heavy downpour of rain just before the opening race upset the calculations of the form students here today. The rain did not soak through until after the fourth race and the track was as slippery as a skating rink. Maznik showed a liking for the soft going and with Troxler to aid him getting away quickly, had an easy time winning. Quartermaster closed up resolutely and nipped Miss Fielder for third place. Brownstone won the opening race, being nicely rated along by H. Shilling and withstood the closing rush of Muriels Pet with a head advantage at the end. Naslcdovatl showed a partiality for the sloppy going and OBrien had an easy time getting her home a couple of lengths to the good. Numerous scratches were the result of the changed track conditions.
