A- , .1. TWO FILLY SISTERS AND THEIR BROTHER THE TRUMP CARDS OF P. SHERIDANS STABLE LAST YEAR 4. 4- The record of the earnings of P. Sheridans stable in the racing of 1916 presents a peculiarity. In all the stable won 2,130, of which an aggregate of .815 was won by the two filly sisters, Savilla and Venetia. and their brother. Harbard. all of which marks their dam. Salvatrix, as a highly valuable broodmare. The great majority of Mr. Sherid ns horses were bred by Mr. A. B. Spreckels in California and the good service they rendered him justifies his preference. The two-year-old Savilla was a pretty good filly and his leading winner. Outside of the trio named Wodan was his only other winner of ,000 or more. The veteran Back Bay showed plainly that his best I ys were over, the severity of his memorable contiiets with Ban Zareta in the two preceding years probably having much to do with it. The record of the stable for the year was: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won.
