G. H. BROWNE IN MONTREAL. Grant Hugh Prowne, race track owner, and the present center of the New York pugilistic whirl, where he has made a spectacular debut as a promoter-to-be of big bouts, is in Montreal. Mr. Prownes visit here is for the purpose of attending a caucus of the representatives of Montreals independent tracks, being held at the Windsor Hotel, to discuss tlie new tax recently put into effect by the province of Quebec. Mr. Prowne is largely interested in Mount Royul, and that track, along with Maisonncuve. Kempton Park. King Edward and Delorimier, are to be represented at the meeting. — Montreal Herald.
