FAST TRACK RACING NEAR NEW ORLEANS GOING IMPROVES STEADILY AND EAST TIME IS IN ORDER. Julia L. Williams had his suspension cut in two and was allowed to accept mounts this afternoon. H. G. Beelwoll. who lias a stable of horses racing here, as well as at Havana, was among the days antral*. He came from his farm in Maryland and will go to Havana tomorrow night. He plans to sell all of his horses which are racing at Oriental Park and then come back here and sell those that are racing here. He lias fifteen horses at Laurel. Maryland, and they will constitute his stable f next summer. The long deferred announcement relative to Hot Springs racing plans, reached here this afternoon by the following from an authoritative source: "Lverything settled hue; opening March 7 at Oak-lawn." The news was hailed with much joy by the owner-, and they began laying plans for a campaign at the Vapor City. Indications are that at least s veuty-five per cent of the horses will be shipped to the springs and that at least sixty per cent of the big racing throng will go there for the opening.
