KENTUCKY RACING COMMISSION UPHELD. Court of Appeals Affirms Lower Courts Decision and Refuses Injunction to Douglas Park Jockey Club. Frankfort. Ky.. February 0. — The authority of the Kentucky State Ruing Commission to designate and regulate the- purses to be given by the different rating associations in the state was upheld by the Court of Appeals, which today affirmed the- Jefferson Circuit Court decision in the- suit of the Douglas Park Joe-key Club against the commission. The jockey club objected to the- rule requiring tracks within cities of 200,000 population to offer a minimum purse of ?K00 and other tracks licit less thin M; mi. and sought an injunction to restrain an enforce me-nt of the- rule as discriminatory iu favor of Lexington.
