4. 4. WHAT THE NEVADA STOCK FARMS HORSES DID FOR THEIR I OWNER IN LAST YEARS RACING I l + 4, George W. Winglie-lds horses did not do the things in last years racing predicted for them early in the year, but it is probable he was well enough pleased with what they did do. Karly in the year it was saiil that, after a brief season in stud service, his high-class Fnglish horse. Honoywood. would be put in training and brought east to measure strides with the best of our handicap division, but this project was not carried out. why was never made public. Racing mainly at Reno and Tijuana, his horses had no chance to win any considerable aggregate of money and under the circumstances, they did epiite well in taking over 3,004. In Rank. Scarlet Oaks. Star Shooter. Slippery Kim and Square Set the stable had and has good racers, but the fine and fast mare. Celesta, was not at he r best and did not win a race. Mont Blanc was probably a good two-year-old. but died early. The English filly, lolistena, was a failure. In all the stable record was: Horse. «ol. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 21. 3d. Won.
