Kenny for his success with S.isin in the Coffroth Handicap. flitter geld is one of M. F. Sheedys band which has b.en galloping in a manner to suggest that he will be as good as ever this year. William Shields has the horses of Paul Powers in fine condition at Benning and intends to stake an early start with them at the Maryland meetings. Frank Bray has the A. L. A-te two year-olds looking fine. Bray is sweet on the black filly by Hiipsburg -Ethel Wheat, which Aste purchased from Hugh McCarren. A striking looking colt at Oravcsencl is the two-year-sM sou of King James — Marie Stuart. S. McNaaghtoa paid $...000 for this colt, as a yearling, at the H. T. Oxnard sale last summer. Hot Bpciaga will be a lively city this month. In addition to the race meetings to begin March 7. with the horses running first at Oaklawn and later at Essex Iark, there will be two major league ball clubs in training, with the probability of a number of exhibition games to be staged there. The Business Mens Association has arranged to have several glove fights decided while the racing and baseball men are in town. Hotel accommodations arc already at a pieniiuni.
