METROPOLITAN TURF NOTES. New York. March Ml — Mrs. David McDaniel. wife of the well-known trainer and mother of 1. K. Mo Ilaiii-1. now training for Grant Hugh Hrowne, died at her loine yesterday from heart trouble. She will be buried from her home in Krooklyn on Saturday. The track at Helmont Iark is still in bail condi tion. Few horses are working, owing to the deep mud. Captain Duhain is back from New Orleans. Be will have hargo of the linkerton police at Howie. The Macomber stable is Hearing oompletioii at Helmont lark. It is the largest and most complete private racing stable in this country. Algernon Haingerfield, assistant secretary of the lackey Club, will leave for Howie Saturday to see that all rules, relative to licenses and other matters, are complied with. Jockey Ambro-e will ride for the Grant Hugh Hrowne stable at Howie. Fairbrothor has signed to ride for W. It. Coe, giving him first call. For second call he has contracted with Oscar Lewisolin and David Gideon respectively. The steel work for the new grandstand at Jamaica is in place.
