STATISTICS OF THE OAKLAWN MEETING. The Hot Springs meeting of twenty days, held i at the beautiful Oaklawn track, under the auspices . of the Business Mi ns League, which opened on . Marek 7 and closed on March 29. was highly successful both financially and otherwise. Burins the . meeting 1-0 races were decided and 1917.sh2,800 distributed among the winning owners. The attendance . during the twenty days of racing was the largest . t in the history of the plant. Old Rosebuds return I to racing and his excellent showing after his long retirement was a phasing feata— « r the sport at ~r : the southern Spa. A number of good-class horses ,? were seen in action and with the Oaklawn track jit its best some fast and spirited racing was witnessed. Jefferson Livingston was the leading winning S owner at Oaklawn as he was at New Orleans. His horses won the most races and the largest amount t of money. Y. A. McKinney fared well, his stable winning seven —CM and ,105. II. S. Newman. W. R. Mizell. Y. . Weant and E. It. Bradley also met with a fair measure of success. With a number of exceptionally fast horses engaged the sport it was not surprising to see some of the old records shattered. Robert Bradley cut a big figure in the record smashing, establishing new-marks for the one mile and seventy yards, one and one-sixteenth miles and one and one-eighth miles.
