GOOD DAY FOR MISS ALERT FAMILY. It is rare that two of the offspring of the same dam wm on the same day at the same track, but that is what happen d at Hot Springs Wednesday when Souvenir and Alert both scon d easy victories. The former is the four-year-old daughter of Dick Welles — Miss Alert, and the latter the three-year-old unsexed son of Marathon — Miss Alert. Miss Alert is n thirteen-year old broodmare belonging to J. B. Bsspess. Her sire was Handspring, and her dam was H.ittie Vaughan. by George Kinney. Out of her first four foals, produced in successive years, three have been returned winners. The first of these was Patience, sister to Alert, and a fairly good winner us a two-year-old uud three -year-old.
