CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. B. Mcllride has secured the contract on jockey R. Estep. The lady groom lias made her appearance in tha racing stable and stud farms of England. M. If. Allen is the official timer on tracks under jurisdiction of the Jock, y Club in New York state. O. E. Ham has leased the racing oualities of the filly Boa Otis for the season of 1917, from Mrs. II. Piatt. Permission has Bete granted to change the name of the four yeai old gelding Dr. Moore to Arthur Middleton. P. L. Oerry lias leased the racing qualities of the filly Miss Filley and also the filly Dixoneas for the season of 1917. The spirit of the times is reflected in the name of Soldier Bap, bestowed on the two-year-old gelding by The Manager- True Blue. R. T. Wilsons Futurity winner Campfire is showing up w.-li in his work at Belmont Park. Monday he went three-eighths in M%. Omar Khayyam, the Kentucky Derhy winner, was sent a mile in 1:40 over the main track at P.elinont Park Monday and appears to be in superb form. The Meddler colt Paffouilleur worked three-quarters in 1:17ft over the training track at Belmont Park in preparation for his engagement in the Long Beach Handicap, to be run next Saturday at Jamaica.
