FORTY-THREE NOMINATIONS FOR ST. LEGER. At a reeent meeting of the English Jockey Club, Lor.l Penrhyn was elected Senior Steward, in succession to and on the nomination of Lord Jersey. The September Stakes, the war-time St. Leger, has forty-three nominations. Dansellon. Admiral Sir Hedworth Meuxs winner of the Craven Stakes, was not in the Two Thousand Guineas, but runs in the War Derby next Wednesday. Mr. Fairies Gay Crusader, the Two Thousand winuer, is also in the War Derby and the September.
