READY FOR THE DORVAL PARK OPENING. Good Card Provided for Today — No Interruption of Racing Expected. Montreal. Que.. May 28. — The Dorval Jockey Club inaugurates the regular season of racing in Montreal with the opening of its seven lays spring meeting at Dorval Park tomorrow. Secretary Sheri dun Chirk has provided a well arranged program for the occasion and, with the track in good condition, some interesting sport should be in order. The officials here will be practically the same as at Toronto, with the additions of Mr. Clark and Herman Conklin. Good transportation arrangements have been perfected, despite the fact that no special trains will be run to the course. There are a half •dozen regular trains on both railroads available to «-arry the crowds out and at the conclusion of the Tilling patrons will find return accommodations of the best. Twenty or thirty cars, which will be on a siding at the depot, will be attached to the regular trains returning to Montreal. The feature race of the opening days program is si dash of one mile, in which Tea Caddy is named as a starter. Among others he will meet Christie. King Neptune and Burglar. Large fields are named Oj in the last two races, the conditions of which are framed to suit the ordinary class of platers. The feeling that racing conditions will not be disturbed for the present year at least, appears to prevail among the horsemen and followers, most •encouraging news comes from Ottawa and it is pre-mitned that the clubs will be premitted to live up to the contracts made by them with the horsemen for the racing season of 1917. Edward McBride, whose stable is especially strong in two-year -olds, disposed of at private sale this morning to Mrs. E. C. Clements of Wayumont, Mass., the Jack Atkin colt, The Peerless One, that lie purchased of A. H. Morris during the Pimlico meeting.
