THE MASQUERADES WINS OTTAWA FEATURE. Ottawa. Ont., June IS. — W. Stormont furnished the winner of todays feature race at Connaught Park in the fa-.t sprinter The Misquerader. which made a runaway affair of the Rideau Handicap. a dash of thrr c -quarters, in which he beat Water Lady out by a length. Back Bay was third and Hauberk fourth. Hearts of Oak won the Helter Skelter Steeplechase after making all of his own pace and Fountain Fay came from behind in the stretch to get up in the final stride and beat Celto out a scant half length. The Tyree stable was more fortunate in the second race when Sweep Up II. beat his opponents by three lengths. Perfect racing weather drew out a large attendance. A. C. Porretto received a telegram from jockey Paul Lowder that he would arrive in Ottawa on Wednesday. Lowder will finish out the season with the W. Stormont Stable and Porretto will look after making the lads engagements.
