G. H. BROWNE TO CONTINUE RACING. Grant Hugh Browne, when asked if the sale of his horses at auction at Saratoga meant that he intended to quit racing, answered unhestitatingly in the negative. "You see," he said, "I was getting rather too many horses on my hands and I wanted to make room for some untried ones and others that are coming on. It is true that I am selling off some really good ones, which I would much like to see continuing to race under my colors, but I do not want to earn the reputation of having weeding Bales. and so I am getting rid of a band of really good ones, hoping that I shall be able to bring out tome other really good ones to take their places in lay stable.".
