PHIL UNGAR STAKE WINNER. - . . -. Z0LLIC0FFER COLT BEATS BURGLAR BY A LENGTH IN D. and C. STAKES. Much Crowding Spoils Burglars Chances Rumors to the Effect That Racing in Canada May Bo Continued After August 1. Windsor, Out., July 18. E. T. Zollicoffcr furnished the winner of todays feature race at Windsor, when Phil Ungar beat Burglar out by a length in the D. and C. Stakes, a dash of a mile, to which ,000 was added. The race was run over a deep and heavy track and Phil Ungar was a forward contender from the start. Sterling rode him with good judgment. Ho saved him from the fast early pace behind Ting-a-Ling for the first half and, when rounding the far turn, moved him up on the inside into an easy lead. At the finish he was under restraint. Ting-a-Ling swerved over to the outside on the far turn and at the finish was next to the outside rail. Burglar, after meeting with some interference on the first turn, where there was much crowding and bumping, closed a gap with a great rush. With better racing luck he would undoubtedly have won. The D. and C. Stakes was run for the sixth time today and its list of winners, with other details, follow: Year. Winner. A.Wt. Jockey. Val. Time 1912 Edda 4 108 J.
