READY FOR ST. LOUIS RACING. St. Louis, Mo., August 2. Joseph A. Murphy ,trrived in the city yesterday and began at once the work of getting the race meeting together, to be held at Maxwelton Park, commencing August 29. He announced his officials as follows: Joseph A.-Murphy, presiding judge; A. B. Dade, starter; J. 15. Campbell, associate judge and clerk of the scales; J. B. McLennan, racing secretary, and John Carey, patrol judge. Horses are already commencing to arrive. The First Regiment are on the grounds, but will go to Fort Sill August 5 and the work of putting the grounds in shape will go rapidly on from that date. It has been determined to give four stakes during the ten days and no purse will be less than 400. Nothing but individual betting will be allowed.
