Won cantering; second and third driving. JUNE RUG displayed vast improvement, drew away into a long lead on the lower turn, increased her advantage in the final eighth and won under restraint. THRILLS met with interference on the last turn, but finished fast and outstayed TOLERANCE at the end. TOLERANCE began slowly, but gained steadily and, after being forced extremely wide when entering the homestretch, closed a big gap. TIT FOR TAT had no mishaps. CONFISCATION saved ground on the turns, but tired under punishment. LADY EILEEN showed speed. ANNCHEN could never secure a clear course and was eased up. COMSORA was also pulled up when beaten. Won easily; second and third driving. ST. CHARLCOTE fenced cleanly and showed the most speed, but seemed to tire when goiiig to file fifteenth fence, then came again on the outside in the final half-mile and drew away to win with speed in reserve. CAPTAIN PARR, under restraint early, made a game effort at the last jump, but could not withstand the winners challenge. THE CARMET gained fast to the last jump, but tired in the final drive. Won driving; second and third the same. HANK ODAY, after being saved in the early running, came on the outside through the homestretch and, responding gamely under pressure, outstayed QUARTZ in the final drive. QUARTZ, while under slight restraint, followed NATURALIST closely, held on gamely in the final drive and would have won under a good rider. CORN TASSEL wus crowded back on the turn out of the baekstretch, but closed up steadily when clear and finished fastest of the leaders. NATURALIST set the pace and displayed an excellent flight of speed, but swerved out badly in the stretch. IMA FRANK raced forwardly, but was in close quarters at the eighth post and was compelled to pull up by NATURALIST swerving. Won easll.V; second and third driving. STRAIGHT FORWARD raced next to the rail all the way and, passing WOODTRAP at the eighth post, drew clear and was easing up at the end. KILLDEE was frequently cut off in the early running and on the last turn, but gained a clear course in the homestretch and finished with a belated rush. WOODTRAP, a rapid beginner, set a fast early pace, but tired in the final eighth. RIVERDALE was always outpaced. COUNSEL was repeatedly forced wide. ZOUAVE was eased up when beaten. LADY MOLL gradually improved her position and, passing the leaders when straightened out in the homestretch, won in a canter. FIRST BALLOT, hard ridden in the early running, raced CLEEK into defeat and, holding on gamely, outstayed SILVER SANDALS in the final drive. The latter was outpaced for the first half-mile, but finished with a rush on the inside. LEEK displayed the most f-peed for three-quarters and tired badly. SAM McMEEKIN propped at the start. Won handily; second and third driving. AMERICAN EAGLE took the lead at the start and, racing into a long lead after entering the homestretch, held THE SPINNER safe at the end. THE SPINNER was hard ridden and saved ground on the stretch turn, then gradually improved his position, but could not get to the leader. OCEAN SWEEP was always a forward contender and tired in the homestretch, but outstayed HONEYDEW in the closing strides. HONEYDEW began slowly and met with early interference, but finished fast. NUTCRACKER raced well in the center of the track. BOLSTER was hard ridden, but ran poorly in the going. PEERLESS ONE was practically left at the post.
