A . : 4 THLRTY-E0URTH RUNNING 0E THE UNITED STATES HOTEL STAKES AT SARATOGA TODAY ; This afternoon at Saratoga the thirty-fourth running of the United States Hotel Stakes will be decided. This event is for two-year-olds, at three-quarters of a mile, although originally it was a three-year-old fixture and run as such until 1901. An exceedingly large nomination list for tiiis years decision of the United States Hotel Stakes has increased its monetary value over its ,500 guaranteed cash value. As it stands without including starting fees, the stake has already a gross value of over ,000. A high-class band of two-year-olds will be sent after this rich turf prize and a grand contest will undoubtedly be witnessed by an immense gathering.
