SALE OF GRANT HUGH BROWNE HORSES. No Bid for Kinr; Herod When Offorod with a Reserve Clause of 0,000. Saratoga, N. Y., August 3. The opening of the Fasig-Tipton sales ring yesterday, was preceded by an invitation of winch many availed themselves, to inspect the high-grade yearlings that will be sold in the enclosure shortly. A good attendance was on hand for the opening sale at night, when the Grant Hugh Browne horses were put under the hammer. The proceedings were not impressive, for a good deal of bidding was semingly indulged in, it being generally held that a number of the horses offered were bid in. King Herod, the first to be offered, went into the ring witli a reserve clause of 0,000 and walked out of the ring with it. The horses offered, to whom sold and the prices follow: Margotstar, F. W.
