Won driving; second and third the same. KINGS OAK took the lead quickly and drew away in the homestretch, but tired in the last sixteenth and was hard ridden at the finish. MOTHER MACHREE, away forwaruly. was outpaced carlv. but saved ground on the last turn and finished ganicly under punishment. DOUGLASS S. lacked early speed and niade a wide turn into the homestretch, but finished with a belated rush and was going fastest of the leaders in the closing strides. MEDITATION ran well, but tired. IMPEKATOR closed up rapidly under hard riding ou the last turn, but quit badly in the last eighth. ARCH.- DALE raced into a long lead, but lost his rider at the thirteenth jump, then was remounted and finished. LEUMAS lost Ills rider at the seventeenth jump. ROTAL AMBEK fell at the tenth. OLIVE WOOD, after being saved in close pursuit of the leaders, closed up with a rush in the last eighth and won going away. ATALANTA set a fast early pace, but could not withstand the winners challenge. ROSE DOR ran fonvardly from the start and held on gamely to the end. GUESSWORK was in close quarters at the start and ran extremely wide on the turns, but closed a big gap. MARCH WIND saved ground on all turns, but could never get to the leaders. SPARK quit. STROMBOLI began slowly, but moved up on the first turn and raced close up to the leaders to the last turn, then came fast and outstayed CAPRA in the final drive. CAPRA took the lead on the backstretch and held on tenaciously when challenged. CLEMATIS II. began badly and raced wide on the first turn, but saved ground on the remaining turns and finished fast and gamely. HENDRIE, outpaced in the early running, closed up steadily in the iinal half and finished resolutely. CHICLET had no mishaps. DADDYS CHOICE passed horses that were easing up in the last eighth. PIRAEUS was under slight restraint in the early running, but quit when called on for a final effort. TIIORNIHLL was hard ridden all the way and never prominent.
