SUNFLOWER II. TO STAND IN CALIFORNIA G. n. Strate passed through the city yesterday on his way to New York, where he goes to look after a shipment of thoroughbreds expected from England in the near future. This consignment will include the stallion Sunflower II., and the broodmares Miss Cue, The Jade, Imperative, Harmonia, Frusquinglass and Adesmia. These thoroughbreds were bought in England for J. II. Rosseter. who has established the AVikiup Stock Farm at Burke, Sonoma county, California. Mr. Strate is the manager of this new breeding establishment. He has nine mares on the farm at present, seven of which were imported from England last year. There are also three weanlings at the place. Sunflower II. is a son of Sundridge and was a high-class race horse. Mr. Rosseter is to be congratulated on securing this royally-bred young lio.rse to stand at the head of his stud..
