AQUEDUCT MEETING OPENS MONDAY Many Attractive Stake Features Provided for Last Metropolitan Racing of the Year. New York, September 15. The joint meeting of the Queens County Jockey Club, the Metropolitan Jockey Club and the Empire City Racing Association, to be held at tiie Aqueduct track, opens Monday, September 17, and will continue to October 0, n period of eighteen racing days. Stake features to the number of fifteen, with additional overnight handicaps, have been provided for the last racing of the year over the metropolitan tracks. The nominations to these stakes have been highly satisfactorily and what they lack in numbers is made up in the quality of those named. It is expected that the fields at Aqueduct will be considerably larger than at Belmont Park, as i many trainers who would not start their charges at the Westchester Racing Association course owing j to racing the reverse way will not have this excuse at Aqueduct for keeping their horses in the barn. I Patrons of the sport through the field will have no cause to complain, as a number of stijke features for the jumpers have been included among the closed events as well as an overnight steeplechase on nearly every day of the meeting.
