USEFUL RACER OTHELLO IS DEAD Texas -Bred Horse in Stable of Jefferson Livingston Succumbs to Attack of Acute Indigestion. Cincinnati, O., December 4. Mose Goldblatt has returned from Louisville, where he has been inspecting the Jefferson Livingston racers. Goldblatt says that the good horse Othello, by Lithos Flash of Night, died Saturday night from the effects of acute indigestion. Othello was a six-year-old, bred in Texas by G. L. Blackford, and proved a good, consistent winner during a rather strenuous career on the turf. As a two-year-old, Othello won six races and ,615 in money, was started in thirty-five races when a three-year-old, of which number he won fourteen of the net value of ,889. He did not do so well the following year, wiuning six out of thirty-two attempts, although he was second nine times and third on seven occasions. Last year Othello won six races and the same number during the present year. His total earnings during the five years amounted to 9,678.
