J, A RECORDS OF THE HORSES WHICH GAVE JEFFERSON LIVINGSTON. HIS MOST PROSPEROUS YEAR ON THE TURF i As was indicated early in the year by his success at the New Orleans meeting would be the case, Jefferson Livingston fared .well in the racing of 1917, it Innng the lest year of his career on the turf in respect to money won by his horses. His net contributor to this- happy result was that good and dependable colt. Colonel Venule, a fast horse when on edge, a stayer and an excellent weight carrier. Outside of him there was no star in the stable, but such useful racers as Diamond, Syrian. Othello, Sosius, Prince of Como, Sansyming,, Solid Hock. American, Julia L Warsaw. Matin, White Crown, Miss Bonero and Jack ODowd all battled so well for its credit that each returned sums ranging from Jack ODowds ,304 up to Diamonds better showing of ,075. Of these Prince of Como appeared at one time to be about the best sprinter in Kentucky.
