CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Vincent Powers, who was the leader of the American jockeys in 190S and 1909, is the leading steeplechase rider of the present year. An interesting struggle has developed between jockeys Robinson and Johnson at New Orleans, both of whom have excellent chance of supplanting W. Crump as the leading rider of the year. The two-year-old filly Olive Wood was beaten the first time she started this year, the only defeat sustained by this good daughter of The Manager. Olive Wood won all her other starts, four in number.
