INTEREST IN SALE OF PARSONS HORSES : Spirited Bidding Predicted for Fifteen Yearlings of Excellent Breeding to Be Disposed of. Xew York, December S. Many predictions, are being lnade regarding the outcome of the sale of the horses belonging to tlie estate of the late Schuyler L. Parsons. whiulitakes placoiicit Fri-. day "af DnrfcnnTSr Thcre will lie about sixteen head offered, all but one of which are coming two-year-olds aiul some of the most select Ielnage. containing blood of English, French and American stock. A glance over the stallions represented is sufficient to show the caie the late Mr. Parsons took in choosing his racing material. In the list tlie names of unquestionable winner producing sires are mentioned, including Uncle, Zeus, Plaudit, Sweep, Star Shoot and Aeronaut, Senseless. Macdonald II. and Fits HerlKrt. Among the foreign mares of fame are Follies Bergeivs, Frances and Ghent Azalea. Mr. Parsons mixed his stock considorablj- from a sire point of view, having no particular fancy for one sire as many owners have. He studied pedigrees and then bought if the conformation and blood fnitei! his fancy. He looked over every individual offered during this years sales and never made a selection, until the prospects of the colt or filly were well thought out. That they will bring as mmh. if not more, than Mr. Parsons paid for them, is almost an assured fact, owing to their increased age. improved looks and nearer approach to the time when they will be available for racing. While many owners are now wpII stocked up in I tlie way of youngsters for the next year, there is always room for another in the barns, consequently the more wealthy buyers will not allow one to slip into other barns for the sake of a few hundred Collars. While may of the more aristocratic siMi-tsnien may not lie present at. tlie sab;, they will all be represented by trainers or agents with instructions to imy and many of these agents will not be restricted.. PROMINENT TURFMEN TO BE REPRESENTED. The selections of some are already made and tli-y only await the material to be trotted into the ring to begin bidding. At the sales rinsr will be seen A. J. Joy net, representing George Widener; Tom Welch, who wll try to buy one or two for Joseph Widener; II. K. Knapp will no doubt be then in person. Mr. Knapp was a life long friend of Mr. Parsons and, sentiment no doubt, will cause him to buy one or two as well as his expert knowledge of a thoroughbred. John Sanford will ilso be on hand and anything he fancies he will -oinc ri-etty nearly buying, as well as Mr. Viau, who bought Omar Khayyam. August llelipont is abroad, bill Iks will probably l:ave Sam Hiblreth lonk over the offering? and make a purchase. If not as a business proposition, Mr. Belmont having plenty of horses, in a sympathetic way, owning to tlie association of Mr. Parsons as on: of tlieT stewards of the Jockey Club. James Rowe may be a bidder for II. P. Whitney, in fact, it is safe to say all the notables of turf-dom will lw at the sale. Unfortunately some of the stakes an? closed for which Mr. Parsons youngsters were entered and Hio nominations iiave become Invalid, as per rule, but there are many still open for which the youngsters will be eligible. There earning possibilities are still good, but the delay "in forming a partnership with his sou, as Jiad heretofore been, the idea of the late steward, iias, to a slight extent, decreased tlie value of some ef the stock. It should be a lucrative sale nevertheless, for rarely has there been a collection from one. stable oitered that carries the blood lines, conformation am! care iu selection that those catalogued for disposal, without reserve, at Durlands next Friday. i ! , j
