RED CROSS APPEAL FOR MEMBERSHIP Friends of Racing Should Bo Second to None in Responding to This Call. The American Red Cross lias began a grand drive to secure a membership of fifteen millions by Christmas Day. Daily Racing Form believes no body of men in this great nation is more loyal and patriotic, than that which in various ways follows, or is interested in racing. The Red Cross is the one organization engaged in alleviating the boundless misery of the warfare wluch is now convulsing the world and it is the duty of all to assist it in its mission of mercy. Turfmen and followers of the tnrf to a man should lose no time in answering the appeal of this noble organization by taking memberships. The annual cost is slight, but an aggregate of small sums will make a great sum, which will be devoted to sacred uses. Daily Racing Form ardently hopes the Red Cross will secure the membership sought and, to that end, earnestly appeals to its readers to join in this great and patriotic movement with hearty zeal.
