G. H. BROWNE HORSES AT BOWIE TRACK D. R. Puddin, McDaniel will winter the horses of Grant Hugh Browne at the Bowie track. It was at first intended that the string would be raced at New Orleans, but this was amended later and Bowie was hit upon as a most desirable place for the cold months. On account of the sandy surface to the Bowie track, it is an ideal place for horses when the frost is in the ground and it is a sure thing that it will be possible to have runners ready for an early start next spring. McDaniel has seventeen in his care and he has reported that the good three-year-old King Herod is doing exceedingly well, with an excellent prospect of his being a good handicap horse next year.
