CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The post time in race 30G90 should read 5:02, at post 1 minute, instead of 5:03, at post 1 minute, as printed. The horses bought by R. F. Carman at the Par-Bons-Lewisohn sale last Friday were purchased for Wilfred Vinti, owner of Omar Khayyam and "Westy Hogan, for whom Carman is trainer. J. B. Allen and J. "W. Moore have formed a partnership in the horses Thesieros and Brookfield, to be raced under the name of J. B. Allen. These two have been racing under the name of S. N. Snelson. T. Fox has arrived at the Jefferson Parish track from Tijuana with a carload of thoroughbreds. Among them are a number belonging to C. B. Johnson. Fox will race in New Orleans the rest of the winter. Lahore pulled tin lame after a work-out at Jefferson Parish track. The old Delhi gelding has made a poor showing in his races at the New Orleans winter meeting and it looks as though his racing days are about over. Charley Raynor and J. O. Talbott are among the recent arrivals in New Orleans. Raynor formerly owned Night Owl and other useful horses and was for some time connected with Thomas Clydes stable. Talbott has a number of horses racing at the Jefferson Parish track under the direction of S. A. Clopton. Frank Herold. who has charge of jockey "Walls, now riding at the Jefferson Parish truck, is in receipt of a letter from James F. Johnson, owners of the Quincy Stable, to which establishment "Walls is under contract. According to Johnson ho mention is made in the letter of the sale of "Walls contract to J. Sanford, as recently reported.
