BASCH began slowly, but made up ground steadily and, coming with a great rush in the last eighth, drew away in the last seventy yards. TANLAG raced forwardly from the start, but tired unexpectedly after seemingly having the race wOn. DALROSE finished fast. GREEN GRASS set a good pace, but retired after going three-quarters. RHYMER came with a rush after saving much ground when turning into the stretch. LUCILE P. closed an immense gap in the last quarter. LITTLE COTTAGE also made up ground. The latter began slowly, but came with a rush through the stretcli and was going fastest at the end. MURPHY showed high speed in pace-maiting, but tired near the end. ASSUME had to lose ground when coming into the stretch and ran a good race. BRINGHURST ran as if short. The others were outrun. Scratched 32449 Whirling Dun, 100. DICK WILLIAMS ran well and saved much ground when coming info the stretch, but tired a trifle near the end. POLROMA raced prominently all the way. MOUNTAIN ROSE II. showed much the most speed to the stretch, but tired. WOODSTONE dropped out of contention soon after the start. SASIN was always outpaced and unfit. Scratched 30743sHarry Shaw, 104. CLIFF FIELD ran well, but tired in the last hundred yards. FLEURON II. closed a gap in the last quarter. HIKER forced and set a good pace and tired in the stretch. KINGLING II. showed speed early, but began swerving out after going a half mile.
