Such wagering as takes place is oral, individual and on the lines laid down in the decision of the Louisiana Supreme Court in the Austin case. Won easilv; second and third driving. GREEN GRASS had slightly the best of the start and, showing the most speed, was raced into a good lead at once and easily outstayed JUNE BUG in the final drive. JUNE BUG raced in closest pursuit from the start, but lost ground by coming wide into the stretch, then stood the Anal drive gamelv SAYETH raced prominently all the way and saved ground on the last turn. Won easily; second and third driving. MIKIFULA, after being restrained in the early running, moved up. steadilv after rounding into the stretch and drew out in the last eighth to win easing up. LUTHER showed the most early speed but tired after going a mile in the lead and had to be hard ridden to save second place. LADY WORTHING-TON closed a big gap in the last quarter. HARRY SHAW was taken back for the first half and came with a rush in the stretch, but could not get up. INTRIGUER ran well and finished fast. LANGDEN set a good early pace and tired badly. SEMPER STALWART, showing the most speed and well ridden, was crushed into the lead at once and, setting a good pace and standing the final drive gamely, held RENO safe at the end. The latter ran a good race and moved up fast after going the first half. LITTLE COTTAGE saved much ground on the turns unci was running fast at the end. CHRISTIE had no mishaps. COLONEL MATT-showed speed, but tired badly in the last quarter. IRREGULAR Avas always outrun.
